Weekly Topic Picks
The hardest part of content is not writing. It's deciding what deserves to be written. That decision needs market context, keyword data, and knowledge of what you've already covered — exactly the kind of homework that gets skipped when you're busy building. So GoShipFast does it on a schedule.
What arrives
At the top of your Topic Library you'll find "This week's recommended topics": a small batch of researched picks. Each one shows the anchor keyword's volume and difficulty, why it was chosen, and one of two buttons:
- View article — the article was already drafted for you (see below).
- Write article — start the draft now.
Past batches collapse under Past recommendations, so nothing is lost if you skip a week.
How picks are chosen
This is a data pipeline, not a prompt. The progress card shows the four stages while a run is live:
- Researching seed keywords — seeds derive from your brand profile, market analysis, and content analysis, across four angles: pain points, alternatives, niche, and adjacent searches.
- Expanding candidates — each seed is expanded through real search autocomplete data, both direct variations and question forms. These are queries people actually type, not model guesses.
- Checking volume & difficulty — candidates get real metrics, and an AI cull removes the ones that don't fit your positioning.
- Assembling your topics — the shortlist is scored and the final picks selected, favoring bottom-of-funnel and pillar topics over trivia.
Every run publishes its ledger in "How these were found": seeds researched, queries expanded, real search terms collected, candidates shortlisted, metrics pulled, finals selected. There's also a collapsible list of the candidates that didn't make it, so you can disagree with the machine and rescue one.
One deliberate bias: the pipeline reads your content analysis (what your site already covers, by article type) and picks topics that fill gaps rather than repeat coverage.
Articles write themselves — up to your quota
Each pick doesn't stop at a title. If your plan has article quota remaining this month, the pick chains into the full unattended writing pipeline: outline → draft → citations → polish → illustrations. Finished articles land in Drafts as pending review, images already rendered.
The dialog states it plainly before a run: "You can still generate N high-quality long-form articles this month." When quota is exhausted, batches still research and deliver topics — they just skip the writing, and the picks wait in the library.
Cadence and manual control
- Growth and Scale brands get picks weekly; Creator brands every other week.
- Generate next batch runs the pipeline on demand, any time.
- Regenerate redoes the current batch if the picks miss the mark.
Making the picks better
The pipeline is only as good as what it knows about you. Three inputs move the needle:
- Keep your brand profile accurate (brand settings: tagline, description, target audience).
- Regenerate your market analysis when your positioning shifts.
- Use topic statuses honestly — archiving bad ideas teaches the next run what not to bring back.
