Core Concepts
GoShipFast has a lot of surface area, but it rests on five ideas. Once you have these, every screen in the product explains itself.
Brands
A brand is one product with one website. Everything is scoped to it: content, keywords, leads, contacts, email domains, analytics, knowledge, and the subscription that pays for it all.
Two details worth knowing:
- Billing is per brand. Like Vercel or Cloudflare, each brand runs on its own plan. A second product means a second brand with its own subscription, not a bigger shared one. See Plans & Billing.
- "Brand" and "project" are the same thing. Older screens and the API say "project"; the product is converging on "brand". If you see either word, they refer to the same object.
Two engines
Every brand runs two growth engines at once:
- Inbound (content): topic research → long-form articles → multi-platform distribution → search and AI-search visibility. People find you. This is the Content and SEO side.
- Outbound (customers): lead discovery → evidence-backed profiles → your pipeline → email from your own domain. You find people. This is the Customers and Email side.
They share one brain: the brand profile and the reports in Knowledge. When the market analysis says your wedge is X, the weekly topics lean toward X and the lead search hunts for people who need X.
The agent
The work is done by an AI agent you can also talk to directly in Chat. The same agent that answers your questions is the one writing articles, running research, filling your CRM, and fixing your site's SEO issues. Automated features are just the agent running a script; anything it does automatically, you can also ask for in your own words.
Credits and quotas
Two systems govern usage, and they answer different questions:
- Credits answer "how much work can the agent do?" One credit is one cent. Actions that create value are metered: drafting an article, generating an image, mining a verified lead. Your plan grants a monthly credit pool. See Credits & Metering for the full price list.
- Quotas answer "how much is safe and fair?" Hard per-plan limits on things like posts per week, articles per month, and emails per day. These protect quality and your sender reputation rather than meter cost.
What is always free
By policy, you are never charged credits for:
- Diagnostics — SEO audits, AI visibility audits, link analysis, index coverage checks.
- Setup — site scanning, brand profiles, knowledge processing.
- AI chat — conversations with the agent (plans set a message allowance).
- Email sending — governed by reputation quotas, not credits.
The rule of thumb: understanding your situation is free; producing new assets is metered.
